What is “Showtime” all about?
It’s about finding a movie you like in a cinema close to you at a time convenient for you.
Where do you get your data and ratings from?
A lot of different places, actually. Among others: Netflix, Cineman.ch, Yahoo..
Where can I book my ticket?
Unfortunately, it’s not yet possible with Showtime to directly book your ticket.
You have, however, almost always the possibility to call the cinema directly.
I sometimes see “English” or “German” next to the rating, why?
It means that the movie is playing in that language.
It’s taking forever to load, why?
If you are using Edge, and older iPhone model and a big city, like NYC, it might take a bit until all
the data is available.
Why do you call it “cinemas”? It’s “movie theaters”!
Because saying “cinema” is totally fancy.
Why do you charge for this app?
Because the infrastructure costs money – besides that, it’s actually cheaper than popcorn.
